About

Hello! Welcome to Much Ado About Pie. My name is Michelle and I’m a recent college graduate from a little school in a little town in the corner of Washington State. I grew up in an equally small town, not too far away, nestled among the rolling wheatfields of the Palouse. About a month ago I left my Washington roots behind and moved to the beautiful coast of California!

I started this blog because I love pie. I love baking it and eating it. From the time I was little, I helped my grandma, mom, or one of my three older sisters in the kitchen. Somewhere around age twelve I started baking my own pies. Ever since, pie has been my dessert. In high school, I loved baking pies for my closest friends’ birthdays. I started teaching my niece how to roll out pie crust when she was three. During college, I (sadly) found myself with less time for pie baking, but my interest in food has expanded enormously.

First my interest in dessert grew. Besides pies, I started experimenting with tarts, éclairs, and cream puffs, just to name a few. I was inspired by pictures I found on food blogs and through foodgawker. For every fancy dessert I attempted, I enjoyed the lengthy process as much as the final product.

Over the last year or so I’ve delved into the world of cooking and have been delighted with new recipes savory as well as sweet. Lately, nothing can beat the slightly-giddy-good-mood I have when I’m in the kitchen, so happy to be creating something delicious for the people I love.

Through Much Ado About Pie I’d like to share the recipes I love the most and my memories, thoughts, and musings about food and life. I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as I enjoy making them.

Eat pie, love, and be content!
